What marvelous work this is. I found your blog! Thank you SO MUCH for helping us get our arms around what I have felt for a long time. This has been painful, but necessary and there is a new and wonderful breeze blowing on the hill. The building is too big, too much, but God had a plan in all of this. Thank you for articulating this so well. I would much rather that we be “real” than glitzy, messy than something that lacks depth. I am going to share this with the kids, too, who will love it -

I hope you write every day–it’s a spiritual discipline, actually in your case it’s a spirital art. It may be your greatest gift to us. Your first entry is not only a clear and beautifully creative construction of words, most importantly the content is deep and wide. Remember Greg has said that you must share it.

Yeah! Now I can ‘hear’ Ellen on a hopefully daily basis! -way better then just a Facebook presence.

I love your heart and you help my heart grow and feel more. I love the imagery of a venn diagram, but picturing intersecting hearts instead of circles and all of us withing God’s large heart.

I just blogged a bit about the church too, but from my Calendar Girl perspective.

Wow. You’ve articulated a little piece of our shared story very well.

I love the line, “Real church is a rare thing, and I believe it is experienced in fleeting, precious moments…” Realizing that it comes in fleeting moments has been a huge paradigm shift for me, and one that has completely changed my perspective on what real church is.
