Embracing rhythms, cycles – is an embrace of the Holy. The rhythms bring order, stability, and help to engage us in the larger story. It’s also an embrace of the feminine and of the earth – both of which carry cycles within our very beingness. :) So it’s subversive – to recover what has been ours all along.

And yet, if we were more aware of the power of *cycles* in life, perhaps we wouldn’t find it so. The problem is that we tend to eclipse cycles, accept only part of them. Life becomes a burdensome line instead of a nurturing, embracing circle.

(Pardon my philosophical musings… I’ve been thinking about Sabbath lately too. Oh, and I came over through Jesus Creed, but I see you are part of my HCB community. : )
